It checks card data for manipulation and copy/cloning before granting/denying access. Due to its strong security protocols, the pivCLASS R40 readers is ideal for critical areas that require an extra layer of security. In addition to PIV-based cards with an ISO 14443 contactless interface that has Card Authentication Key (CAK) certificate, as well as legacy cards such as iCLASS, iCLASS SE and standard Prox.
